Series with invalid path characters

MediaScout preview 3 consistently crashes when I try to process the TV series 'What's New Scooby-Doo?'.

The base folder name is 'What's New Scooby-Doo'. When I 'fetch', I have to re-add the dash between 'Scooby' and 'Doo', as it strips it for me, and add the question mark at the end in order to resolve the series name. This allows me to fetch the series information.

However, when I try to 'process' the series (right-click, select 'process'), it tell me:

Scanning folder What's New Scooby-Doo?

Loading from cache

and then a crash - MediaScout just goes away.

Is it trying to use the question mark in the file name? I have not yet gone through the code - I do not know which is the projects is the 'Preview 3' release, and the ones I looked at did not match the UI.

I noticed that 'Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!' handled the bang just fine, since that is a valid file/path character.

The TvDB URL for the offending series is:

I have the same exact problem with this series ('Bill Nye: Science Guy'):

And I wonder if it is due to the colon in the series name - another invalid file/path character?

Thanks -

As I can tell a good search query involves only words and going by the tvdb and tmdb api, it would perform better with that. Yep, that's right with preview 3 invalid chars in the series name causes the crash, but it has been corrected with upcoming release.

I am still having this issue with preview 4 as well as one series refusing to be found even though upon manually searching the series is there and identically named.

Invalid Character Offendees:

All are ":" as the invalid character.

And that's the series that is refusing to be found in MediaScout
